back to zimbabwe

After a 5 month aid vacuum, it's great to see Save the Children are heading back to Zimbabwe after getting the green light to deliver aid in the country. One of the most frustrating aspects of aid and development work seems to be when people with genuine, urgent needs are denied critical outside aid due to the selfish posturing of their government. Equally, it is always a good day when the artificial wall comes down and charity work such as this can resume. Working in peaceful developing countries can be tough - all appreciation must go to those who dedicate time and efforts to provide crucial aid in difficult and often dangerous political circumstances.
