Once registered, students and graduates can create a personal profile in which they can detail their academic achievements and work experience, and also provide a much more rounded picture of themselves, their interests and their career aspirations than allowed by a conventional CV. This ‘3D CV’ offers a powerfully effective career tool, allowing you to attract prospective employers and to network with your peers. Only registered recruiters and – if allowed by your security settings – registered students can view your profile and use the private message system.
Benefits to students and graduates
• Proactively showcase your credentials to hundreds of potential employers in sectors as diverse as advertising, law, charity and banking. It really is up to you to make sure you catch the attention of and impress a top employer – spend some time filling in your profile and ideally upload a photo (it does make a difference!).
Then sit back and let employers come to you.
• Use beyondoxbridge as a social networking site to view and communicate with hundreds of other Oxbridge students, past and present (provided you have chosen your profile to be visible to students). Check out the competition. Share tips with someone in the same boat as you. And benefit from invaluable advice and contacts from graduates who are already in employment.
